the topic police?

Post 1 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 07-Jan-2005 21:12:25

Well, I'm not sure I was the one being complained about in post 167 in the give us a break topic, but just so the topic police can't complain at me again just in case that was meant for me, I just wanted to tell the individual who posted the message about how she had to complain, because "you are getting way off topic, well I just had to say I didn't start the off topic posts, I was just replying to other people who had gotten off the topic. I just saw posts I either agreed with, or had a thought on, and I read all 167 posts, just so I could make sure I wasn't the one, so I could be accurate, in defending myself.

I haven't read the latest posts there WW, but don't let anyone get to you. You have a right to post what you want! :)

Post 3 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 07-Jan-2005 21:20:09

Thanks rdfreak, that means a lot, especially coming from you, since you are a community leader, at least I think you are. I think some folk are trying to be admin, more than the admin, lol. Anyway, thanks for your post, nice to hear from you.

Post 4 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Friday, 07-Jan-2005 21:26:18

yes I am a community leader. but just for the record, I do not think she was having a go at you specifically. I took it she was just meaning in general terms to everybody. I spose some think that topic is getting too long but it doesn't matter and it certainly wasn't you who was responsible for changing the subject. I for one am glad to see you posting more. You have heaps to contribute. :)

Post 5 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 07-Jan-2005 21:40:18

Well, after my last 2 posts under Alisons topic concerning the change of subject, I think some may disagree with you, but I decided if I'm going to be here a while, I might as well post first, and not think about how it might come across till after I post, because I've done that ever since I've been on the net, and I think considering people's feelings is important, but I'm pretty much finding if I'm too obsessed about how a post of minemight come off, if I am always saying, gee, I better not post that, I'll open a hornets nest or a beehive, or, oh, better not say this or that, so and so might not like it, then I'd never speak or type, and would just never say anything at all. I just follow my own guidelines, don'tattack anyone, and don't try to make someone else's opinion my own, or try to make them to agree with me, when they don't.
Off topic posts have never really bothered me in the least, I think what would annoy me a bit, is if I'd started a serious thoughtful discussion that everyone could be interested in, and 2 or 3 just took the topic over with something that couldn't involve anyone but themselves. I might get a little annoyed, but I think I would then suggest that they start their own topic.

Post 6 by Jess227 on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 1:28:51

Yeah I kinda thought the Give Us A Break topic was getting kinda lame so I stopped reading/replying to it. So I know it wasn't me. But hey if it's one of those "Talk about anything" topic people shouldn't be complaining. Because well hey if you're allowed to talk about anything even if it's off topic or on topic then why not? Besides I only post maybe one or two times in a topic. And I try to keep on topic and when I find myself off topic, I erase that part of the post by editing it and then submitting it. But some people really need to use the PM boxes I mean sheesh I got stepped on in one of my own topics and that was uncalled for. And even people who are members on here IM me on Aim or MSN saying those who step on people's toes in topics should be more polite and email the person by clicking on the user's profile link and hitting the page down key to the end of the page and clicking on the send a private message link. It's not that hard.

Post 7 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 3:55:35

Yeah WW, keep up what you're doing. You're a great boards contributor and always will be! Rock on! Lol!
Caitlin

Post 8 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 11:51:53

ww? anyways, caytlin. Well yah there are a lot of posts lately but what the heck? u can post whatever you want, the concept still applies; there is not been a space limit and I hope this site doesn't get more rescrictive as it is already.

Post 9 by Jess227 on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 12:59:02

When I went back to that "Give us a break" topic somewhere in the middle it went off topic so from the middle down what ever happened happened. Nothing you can do about that. Just relax and try not to let it get to you.

Post 10 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 13:28:24

The topic police are currently investigating Caitlyn and Wonderwoman in connection with infringement of the posting standard authority's guidelines, and conspiracy to infringe the said guidelines. the special branch of the topic police are currently monitoring every post that each suspect posts to the boards. Anyone with any information should call the incident room on 09765432109. Calls cost £15 per minute exclusive of tax at 17.5 percent. For training purposes calls may be monitored or recorded and callers threatened or visited at their homes late at night or both.

Post 11 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 14:58:16

Heheheh LL, you're so funny! Anyway, I agree with Lou--ther'es no limit! Hehehe and yes BlindVI, the whole Give Us A Break thing did definitely stray from its original topic--me! Heheh.
Caitlin

Post 12 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 16:50:10

Caitlyn is now very much leping the topic police with their enquiries.

Post 13 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 17:09:36

Go LL! Lol hahahaha you're a crackup sir! :)

Post 14 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 17:19:29

Indeed you are LL. I have some new topic ideas, so I will hopefully post them! Heheheheheheehhh!

Post 15 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 17:53:55

The topic police are planning a dawn raid on caitlyn's home, where we'll finish her off. Only trouble is, she doesn't know which day, which time zone, etc. so there's no way we shall second guess them. They don't call it the police force for nothing, you know.

Post 16 by Grace (I've now got the ggold prolific poster award! wahoo! well done to me!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 18:12:59

Well it seems that WonderWoman and Caitlin are leading the way in promting LawLord to use his somewhat confusing and expensive vocabulary. All that money on getting your education LL was certainly not wasted and how splendid it is that you may show us your style. Everyone now let us CLAP for LL and his education. *grin*

Post 17 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 18:35:41

Seriously. LL, where do you learn all these big words? No wonder you confuzzle me so much! Rotfl. And just let the police force try to get me. I shal whack them with my cane!
Caitlin

Post 18 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 20:03:58

Lol cg, that was tooo funny, lol. Well if the topic police are out to get us for daring to go off topic, I'm afraid they'll have to get law lord too, cause he's the leader of off topic posts. They'll have to catch me first, hahaha. But really, it was just mostly sad seeing that give us a break caitlin thing, when she wasn't doing anything, except what people do on boards. I still wish I could think of that much, then someone would probably start a give us a break wonderwoman, then I could let loose with 30 posts a day just for the heck of it, heehee.
wonderwoman

Post 19 by Jess227 on Saturday, 08-Jan-2005 23:48:56

LOL thats funny lawlord.

Post 20 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 0:48:34

And of course, the topic police will never reveal what exactly the standards are, making them seem powerful and arbitrary. Also, we're waiting for data on exactly how people should be punished for being off-topic. Suggestions have included boiling in oil, being drawn and quartered, the rack, and possibly, most horrific of all, compulsory attendance of an entire run of Kenny G concerts. No feedback yet as to whether these punishments are worthy or not.

Post 21 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 2:04:38

Give us a break, Caitlin! *laughs*

Post 22 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 2:57:24

i think there's no real way of moving posts on mass to another topic, we rely on others to post in the proper places on the site more than anything. I will write to the other staff members regarding this matter.

Post 23 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 8:05:25

Now, Wonderwoman my fine friend, you make a potentially libellous allegation above. Give me an example of a lawlordian off-topic jaunt. Don't you think you're in enough trouble already now? And Labyrynth, of course the topic police ar arbitrary and unfair, that's what makes them so good.

Post 24 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 14:35:31

I would not say being arbitrary or unfair is good, unless of course you're a sadist and find such things amusing. LOL!

Post 25 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 15:31:44

AS I said above, they don't call it the police force for nothing! What are you - a man or an amoeba?

Post 26 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 15:32:10

That's potentially libellous also I suppose, unless it's justified or fair comment.

Post 27 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 19:20:41

Well law lord, you have only to go and read the posts under the hyper, not for long subject, and you and a few others got way off topic in the give us a break thing, not that I care, but if you are going to appoint yourself as the leader of the secret branch of the off topic police force, you need to consider how off topic you get first. You can't be a leader of both, haha. and I wasn't talking about you at first when I started this thread. If I'm in trouble, oh well, it will take more than a warning from the topic police to consider myself in trouble.
wonderwoman

Post 28 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 19:22:32

Heheheh Wonderwoman! And RdFreak, that last post of yorus was hilariosu too, lol!
Caitlin

Post 29 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 09-Jan-2005 19:43:16

Yeah, haha, so long as I only have one zoner to contend with, I'm doing ok. If I log on and get something saying, you have 40 private messages from the zone, well then I might have to brace myself, and prepare some sort of defense, but till then, I'm doing great, heehee.
wonderwoman

Post 30 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 10-Jan-2005 6:02:54

Doing great? You're getting yourself into a right old two and eight I'm afraid! I'm the leader of the topic police and there's nothing you can do about it as we are unaccountable and arbitrary. As the emperor Tiberius once said: let them hate me, just so long as they fear me.

Post 31 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 10-Jan-2005 14:54:33

I'm not afraid of you. This is the internet. You're just words on a screen. Oh, look at the man behind the curtain! Hahahaha!

Post 32 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 10-Jan-2005 17:11:52

You just watch, words are only the beginning and soon the topic police will put stage two of the plan to take the world over into action.

Post 33 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 10-Jan-2005 22:52:53

It will take more than a few scarey sounding words to make me afraid of you, or your topic police, I laugh at the topic police, it's just a big huge joke, rotfl.
wonderwoman

Post 34 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 11-Jan-2005 18:36:17

People said the same about the emperor Claudius once, and look what happened to them.....200 executions in one night I think it was? After the adultery of his third wife, Messalina?

Post 35 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 11-Jan-2005 19:40:24

LL isn't the topic police, because he stuck up for me in that 158-long post about me. Rotfl!!!
Caitlin

Post 36 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 12-Jan-2005 5:26:09

Well Caitlyn, since then there has been a regime change at the topic police, and now they are more paramilitary than conciliatory.

Post 37 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 13-Jan-2005 17:26:39

Oh, LL, taking over the world? Everybody wants to do that and I have to wonder why? I did it once, and believe me, it's really overrated and nothing but a big let-down and a headache besides. Plus, you never win no matter how hard you ttry, how much you threaten, and how big and bad your weapons are. Don't even tell me you have a better plan, as it's all been done at least ten thousand times over. Why not start a rock band or comedy group or something.

Post 38 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 13-Jan-2005 19:00:16

I'm gonna kill everyone in the world when I take over, then there'll be nobody left to challenge my supreme authority.

Post 39 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 13-Jan-2005 19:22:16

yeah, dream on. You go Labyrinth, lol.
wonderwoman

Post 40 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 4:08:28

Oh, puh-leez! You have authority like George W. Bush is a rocket scientist. Plus you really have to quit with those James Bond movies and those old superhero cartoons. Now, if you want real power, I can give it to you, but it'll cost you, bigtime!

Post 41 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 4:21:42

I was never a fan of James Bond. My authority stems from nothing of that nature.

Post 42 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 16:21:23

Oh will you just get on with it and stop threatening? C'mon, I dare ya. No, I double dare ya!

Post 43 by Grace (I've now got the ggold prolific poster award! wahoo! well done to me!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 18:21:11

Hay WonderWoman what do you suppose will happen here what with Labyrinth and LawLord...there's even a double dare going on. Perhaps a New Year's Mystery....

Post 44 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 18:31:42

One cannot live, while the other survives. that is the motto of the topic police.

Post 45 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 14-Jan-2005 19:38:09

Well cg, it looks like law lord and labyrinth are neck to neck, I think law lord has found his match in Labyrinth. I'm on Labyrinths' side all the way, go labyrinth, go go go. It's like a zone soap opera, with the good guy versus the bad guy, Labyrinth being the good guy. Yay! I'm for Labyrinth 1000 percent, yay!
wonderwoman

Post 46 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 0:29:38

Oh, so you stop threatening and just shout slogans now? I double-dog dare ya!

Post 47 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 7:06:20

Well wonderwoman I care not that youa re for labyrynth, I can survive without your blessing and support. Nay, I thank you, for it is plain that this display of cheer-leading triumphalist nonsense is a sure sign of insecurity; you fear the topic police under sht stewardship of the lawlord, as does your quasi-saviour Labyrynth. It was not a slogan, Labyrynth, but a statement of truth.

Post 48 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 15:41:34

Oh, everybody claims their point of view is the truth. You're just continuing to roll down the road of lameness. Better turn around.

Post 49 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 15:43:35

The thing about my claims, Labyrynth, is that they are the truth. i'm always right. I'm not only right, I'm wrong if I want to be, or partly right and partly wrong or ambivalent, c'est comme je veux. My word is the law old lad, be very, very afraid of the topic police. aRe you sure you won't join the topic police, Labyrynth?

Post 50 by Grace (I've now got the ggold prolific poster award! wahoo! well done to me!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 19:15:48

I have always found Labyrinth to be an independent thinker and not one to go along to simply get along. Can't imagine him joining the topic police. Maybe LL you should like to reconsider your mistake in takeing up with the topic police, while there is still time.........

Post 51 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 15-Jan-2005 19:30:53

yay cg, right on. I am not afraid of the topic police, I laugh in their face, so anyone who dares to disagree with you is insecure? Well, Labyrinth and I are quite alike in that we don't just go along with the crod, for going along with the crowds' sake. I am not, nor will ever be afraid of the topic police. I notice the topic police so far consists of no one but yourself law lord? If you have followers, why aren't a whole gang of them coming forth to give you support? Me thinks this whole police thing is all in your mind. I think it's a clear case of megalomania. Ha.
wonderwoman

Post 52 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 1:28:35

Well, these people have guessed me right. No way will I join. First of all, never dug the whole paramilitary thing. Second, I'm a nonconformist and non-joiner anyhow, and since the organization is based on an authoritarian model, I would at best be expelled and at worst be killed. All y'all live with your useless delusions of power and authority. Leave me out of it.

Post 53 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 5:48:12

Dear me, I've started something here haven't I? No need to get quite so upset! Of course my followers will not reveal themselves, it's a secret organisation after all, so even if they were followers they wouldn't no that they were! That's the level of secrecy we're talking about. So Wonderwoman et al, you might well be members of the topic police already.

Post 54 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 14:27:28

He signed us up without our consent. Let's all sue LL! Lawsuit! Lawsuit! Lawsuit!

Post 55 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 14:40:21

yeah, well law lord, in order to force me in to the topic police authority, you must first prove, that I did indeed complain about people getting off topic, and I don't you can do that, for I haven't said anything about people getting off topic. You would have to go and read all the posts and topics I've participated in, and find a post of mine, where I told people they were getting off topic. heehee, you can't do it.
wonderwoman

Post 56 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 18:11:26

Who said that the topic police operated in accordance with due process? Who said that the topic police observed the maxim of 'innocent until proven guilty'? Who said that the topic police needed evidence? the topic police arrest people just to provide a cheap alternative to lunch in the police station canteen! And you are a part of this organisation Wonderwoman......perhaps. anyway Labyrynth, how do you propose to sue the topic police? to sue, you need to be able to serve papers on a member of the organisation, and considering that topic policemen don't even know that they are topic policemen it'll be a legistic nightmare!

Post 57 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2005 20:51:38

I know because I said so.

Post 58 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 17-Jan-2005 11:58:12

That won't be good enough for the topic police, who can carry on their gratuitous maiming and abduction to their hearts' content.

Post 59 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 17-Jan-2005 16:04:41

LL, what are you on about? You're not part of the topic police, right? Lol! Because in the give us a break thing, you said we could post s much as we wanted. So why are you carrying on with this joke? Lol!

Post 60 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 17-Jan-2005 16:57:29

Too bad, accept it anyway and love it!

Post 61 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 17-Jan-2005 17:19:55

The topic police have moved on from policing topics. Now they police your lives. Topics? Things of the past, the topic police aim a bit higher than that now!

Post 62 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 18-Jan-2005 16:03:17

Man, you're trying way too hard. Stop fooling yourself. You're a weak and insecure little man and no amount of threats will hide that from me. I'm having the warden put you back in your cage now and your dose of medication will be doubled.

Post 63 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 18-Jan-2005 16:50:29

But that would of course be in breach of my human rights, see Human Rights act 1998, schedule 1, articles 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 14. Oh look there he goes again bringing law into the equasion! Quite right quite right, I almost forgot, as a topic policeman I don't need law.

Post 64 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 18-Jan-2005 18:41:42

Post 66 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Wednesday, 19-Jan-2005 13:51:36

topic police? what's this? I don't see any of that, and I'm a community leader. not to say I haven't removed topics, because I have, but only because they were outragiously offencive. talk about almost everything is allowed, as long as it's in the right place on the site.

Post 67 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 19-Jan-2005 16:50:35

Well, LL, since you don't care about the law, I don't either. You are lucky I haven't put you on the rack for a little stretch yet. Besides, since you claim always being right and some kind of vague authority, you are not human, so you are not subject to human rights anyhow. So there, too!

Post 68 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 19-Jan-2005 16:59:45

Well well well, I started a joke which started the whole world laughing, but I didn't see, that the joke was on me. I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing, oh if I'd only seen, that the joke was on me. I, look at the skies, running my hands, over my eyes, and I, fell out of bed, hurting my head, with the things that I said. Till I finally died, which started the whole world living, oh if I'd only seen, that the joke was on me.

Post 69 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 19-Jan-2005 18:35:27

Hi Dobyn,
No, I wasn't referring to you, or any community leaders, this came about when that topic about poor Caitlin got up to 167 posts, and it did get off topic, but all I was doing was responding to posts I had some thought on, and this woman made the remark that she had to complain because "you have gotten way off topic." I've seen her posts get off topic, and I just started that post to say I wasn't the one getting off topic, I just responded to some off topic posts. I was just saying some people seemed to be trying to be community leaders who weren't, and I simply responded, because I wasn't sure if I was one of the ones who was being complained about.

Hi Caitlin,
Well, when I was young and in to citizens band radio, this boy had a tiny computer, and if you put the right amount of data in toit, it gave you a personality analysis, and it said I had no compassion for man kind, but then it said I had sympathy for the underdog, how is that for contradiction? haha. Oh well, you're sweet and to quote you, you rock.

I'm never off-topic me. bacon, sausages, black pudding, beans, tomatoes and a potato cake. and a nice pot of coffee and I forgot fried bread of course. Not fussed about eggs, but fried eggs are always preferable. Now that is off-topic for you!

And the hot cocoa too! Rotfl!!! Caitlin

You don't have hot cocoa for breakfast. That's more associated with going to sleep. Nice pot of freshly ground coffee does the job.

I would. *smiles* But If coffee were my only choice, it would have to have a strong chocolate or vanilla flavor. *smiles*

You'd probably be a fan of Irish coffee then as that's a lot sweeter than normal coffee. You basically take a specially designed Irish coffee cup which is basically a wine glass but with thicker glass, and put sugar all round the inner circumference thereof. then pour in a shot of whisky, then hot coffee, and then put a spoon in and pourcream over the back of the spoon. Marvellous.

I've drunk cocoa for breakfast before, as I'm not allowed near coffee, except for an occasional sip. It makes me hyper!!! I mean, more hyper. Lol. Caitlin

It's very strange, and remarkable, that american kids as a rule don't drink coffee. I've been on the coffee for this last nineteen years or so. Never did me any harm. Get some Jamaica Blue Mountain down you lass!

Post 82 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 22-Jan-2005 15:00:15

My friend drinks coffee. He is also uncontrolably hyper. Like, really uncontrolably. Hehehe. Maybe it has a bad effecton American kids. Caitlin

If it does then it's not the only thing. those awful sitcoms, for a start, might explain why American kids and indeed some american adults now put question marks at the end of sentences not designed to be questions. Even some british people are doing it now.

Hehehe LL. You wouldnt' be eluding to someone, namely me? Hahahaha. Lol! Aaaanyway, I daresay sitcoms are part of the problem with that situation. Caitlin

No Caitlin you have improved very quickly on that score. It is others now who are the most grievous sinners in this regard.

Post 86 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 22-Jan-2005 20:02:58

But we're not mentioning manes, right? Hehehe. And I've improved just because you complained about it so much. So I thank you for that, LL, you Gramatical Obsessor you!

Just a minute just a minute: Mullett was a superintendant and therefore didn't ever call frost 'Inspector'. He was just 'Jack' when Mullett, who incidentally is a superb character, addressed him. I don't know whether this is good news or bad, freya, but I was indeed a coffee-drinker when I was four. not much, just the odd cup occasionally, sometimes very odd depending on who made it and that is still the case currently, but I was nonetheless a coffee-drinker. search of official records date the earliest Lawlordian cup of coffee to 1986 in nursery.

Post 91 by lawlord (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 26-Jan-2005 6:53:54

I might add that this was towards the tail end of my nursery career, I was a nursery veteran by that stage one might say. Then in September 1986 I started school properly.

Post 92 by Freya (This site is so "educational") on Wednesday, 26-Jan-2005 10:32:47

Just a minute Frostie, in my experience they don't serve coffee to the little kiddies in nursery, they serve juice and biscuits...Give all the little darlings some hot java lava and they might just have a caffeine induced riot on their hands eh! best regards, Superintendent Mullet.

We used to get juice and biscuits it is true, but on a couple of occasions we had tea as a special treat and on a couple of similar occasions coffee. Never did the Lawlord any harm.
